when you're ready..

May is an exciting month for me but life's been a little crazy recently.  I'm moving into my very own brand spanking new flat which is in the process of decoration, carpeting etc etc 

I spent time picking the perfect paints for each room, the carpets to go with it, curtains, furniture, accessories..and planning how it will all happen by the end of this month!!! I've been super busy with organising it all and haven't had the chance to blog at all as most of my weekends are filled up with flat stuff 

PLUS I accidently left my camera up at my families house in Birmingham and won't get it back for a week or so! I might have to steal my bfs for a little as I've been hankering to take piccies etc. I have so much stuff to show you just not enough time to present it beautifully!

Thank you for being patient for my next post which will come en-mass I expect with my new home!! 

Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien

You may have noticed over the Easter I tweeted a few times about being in the most beautiful city ever.. Paris! I cannot even begin to describe what a wonderful 4 days it was but I am here to show you some snaps from our trip along with some of the things that I wore. Nothing too exciting as every day I was wrapped up with my thick black coat & a scarf... Be warned, a rather photo heavy post....!

I think the main stand out item for my trip was my Zara handbag... it's the exact one Mariannan has on her blog and I just searched the WHOLE country for it! IT wasn't on the UK website anymore so I had to call the stores to check whether they had it..rushed after work, leaving a wagamamas date with the Mr early *he wasn't exactly impressed* to belt across London to Kensington.. where I ended up buying two bags.

The bag is suede with gold studs over the lid (??) which is also cleverly is a secret opening to the main internal part of the bag which made me feel extra secure as I am super paranoid about pick pocketers! I wore my gold studded new look boots along which I had reheeled as they are really great for walking around in! I did pack a variety of shoes however due to it being cold I stuck to my slight heeled boots. 

I think the key to the Paris trip was take a good coat, scarf, sunglasses and good walking shoes. It was chilly with sunshine pretty much everyday but you could not get away with a thin jumper as the wind was really quite biting when it wanted to be. I'd luckily picked up the large brown sunnies from H&M as I could not find any of my previous pairs.... all lost in time as it has been so long since we've seen sunshine over here.

I just love this simple peplum top from H&M. I got simple black as I knew I would wear it much more often. What I love most about it is that even on days I feel quite self concious of a bit bigger than usual it hides my hips and tummy area however pulled in at my waist which makes me appear slimmer! I love it. 

I wear this for work & for casual days. It's easy to just throw on and add everything else to!

Spring is hiding from us.. and it's snowing today! It is ridiculous but to be fair i'm feeling a bit poorly today so I plan to stay inside anyways and not go outside at all!  So obviously I am sat on my ipad & laptop browsing blogs, taking blog pics and generally relaxing. It's been quite a busy week at work and I need to make sure I rest up and feel better before I head off to Paris for the bank holiday. 

This ipad case has gorgeous little front pocket where my phone can sit along with headphones whenever I carry my ipad around. I found it only at etsy from a company called Handmade In Berlin  It took a little while to send over to me in the post however around 1/2 weeks later after ordering it arrived. It's a gorgeous fabric with a bit of cushioning so your ipad is safe in the dangers of my handbag! 

I also found whilst reading Kelly's blog, i saw she uses the feedly app to keep up with reading her google reader blogs... now I know i've read all sorts about google reader packing in but i am hoping this app still continues to work? we'll see i guess. However it is absolutely free so nothing is lost in giving it a shot. I love it's interface and it makes catching up on blogs a delight :) I have downloaded it on both ipad and iphone! Very easy to use!

Sing for the Lion and Lamb

I have been lusting after a handbag with a chain handle for a while ever since I saw Mariannan with her Zara bag which I then had to hung down... then I saw this beauty (of course I ended up buying both.. but I am only allowed the gold studded one at the end of March) This little gorgeous number was £49.99.. it's a gorgeous bag which I now use everyday as I feel it looks so so chic!! 

It's from Zara's spring summer 2013 collection and holds a fair amount. It's been an amazing handbag for over a month now and I cannot stop using it. I just adore it's look so much. I love the long silver chain handle as I don't need to worry about my arm getting tired. It is a classic suede and i have had non stop compliments on how it looks a lot more than it is.

Again I stand by my i love zara for all of my handbags statement. I seriously cannot fault them at all.... I always get amazing sturdy long lasting bags from them which simple yet gorgeous designs . What more could you want?
